I was a 17-year-old criminal exiled from my hometown and placed in a Mad Max and Star Wars-themed ghetto with other boys around my age. I got my own run-down shack of a house to live in along with several male roommates. The boys and the girls were kept in separate towns- they were right next to each other, separated by a curtain that was impossible to move. We were given access to a type of social media, but it wasn’t on smartphones. It was a chip implanted in our brains that allowed us to investigate our profiles and friend requests at any time. There were policemen patrolling the dirt roads late at night, and our curfew wasn’t until 1am. There weren’t very many laws, and the boys found ways around them. On my first night there, I was passed a vape from that guy I knew in German class senior year at Eastern High School- Pierce. Pierce said “It looked like you needed some” with a smile. He was right, I was so nervous being in a new environment and all. I ran across a girl in the house, and I asked her how she got on our side. She said there’s a secret passage people take to end up on the other side. You had to jump into the dirty toilet on the second floor of my house, I don’t understand how people fit in the fist-sized drain, but I gave it a shot and, sure enough, I ended up in a girl’s house on the other side. There was a nighttime party going on there, boys and girls included. I heard a man singing as people watched but he wasn’t very good at it. I began singing myself- away from the main performer, and even though I didn’t get any in real life- later back on the boys’ side, I checked my social media platform and saw that I got a few friend requests and supportive messages complimenting my voice. At night, right before curfew we sat on the rooftops and watched the policemen standing in a line and shining a flashlight up into a window of our neighbors second floor across from our shack. A chubby kid, probably 15 years old, passed me his nicotine and told me to keep hitting it after the first few puffs. I thanked him and once I got into my room, I realized I was not only buzzed, but high as a kite too. The bastard tricked me, and now I’m stoned off my gullet. Near the end of the dream, I walked into the higher-income side of town and watched the men walk around the paved streets. They were wearing expensive clothes and, smelling like shit from the night before, I stood out like a sore thumb. Two men that knew each other exchanged glances at me and one with a gray turtleneck said to me, “Remind me to stay away from you, you peasant.” I stared at him, and he walked away. THE END
Interpreting dreams is a subjective process, as the meaning can vary depending on the individual's personal experiences and emotions. However, here is a possible interpretation of your dream:
This dream may symbolize the feelings of isolation, uncertainty, and the desire for acceptance that you might be experiencing in your waking life. The theme of being exiled from your hometown and placed in a Mad Max and Star Wars-themed ghetto suggests a sense of being disconnected from familiar surroundings, possibly representing a major change or transition in your life.
The division between boys and girls, separated by an immovable curtain, could reflect feelings of separation or difficulty in forming connections with others. The implanted social media chip in your brain might indicate a reliance on technology or social platforms to seek validation and social connection.
The presence of policemen patrolling the dirty roads may symbolize feelings of restriction or fear of authority in your waking life. The lack of laws and the boys finding ways around them might represent a rebellious or non-conformist attitude in your approach to rules and societal norms.
The encounter with Pierce and his offer of a vape could represent seeking comfort or escape through substances when faced with new or challenging situations. The secret passage through the toilet and ending up on the girls' side may suggest a desire to explore the unknown or experience different perspectives.
The night-time party and your singing may symbolize a desire for recognition and acceptance of your talents or abilities. The positive feedback received through social media represents a need for validation and support from others.
The incident with being tricked and getting high against your will might represent a feeling of being taken advantage of or manipulated in some aspect of your life. It could also symbolize the consequences of making impulsive decisions or trusting others without fully understanding their intentions.
Finally, walking into the higher-income side of town and the encounter with the men wearing expensive clothes may symbolize feelings of inadequacy or social disparity. The comment from the man in the gray turtleneck could represent feelings of judgment or exclusion from certain social circles.
Overall, this dream suggests a desire for acceptance, exploration, and a struggle with identity and societal norms. It may reflect your subconscious processing of current challenges or conflicts in your waking life. Consider how this dream resonates with your emotions and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of its meaning for you.
